So your Machine will not boot because \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM file is missing or corrupt.
OK, you surfed the net and found the article about using the Recovery Console to replace the 5 files in the Config folder. So you try booting Recovery Console with the Windows XP disk, but it did not give you any info about which version of WindowsXP to choose, instead it gave an empty command prompt.
This often happens with Raid drives or when you have Windows installed on another drive other than C drive.
Chkdsk could not help because the disk was not recognized (or something to that effect).
Some people have suggested that under this situation you have to essentially reformat disk and reinstall the OS (thus losing all the data, software, settings… you get the idea).

Just got the new Thematic Theme Framework v0.5 from Ian Stewart at ThemeShaper.com and I really like the ease of use and layout with this theme… I was able to tweak the CSS to get it where I wanted it in just a few minutes! I haven’t gotten all the little widgets exactly where I want them, but seeing as I haven’t really used Wordpress that much, I’m not really sure what all I want to incorporate into my blog yet. Wordpress has done nothing short of explode onto the blogging scene since it’s inception in 2003, and the new Wordpress v2.6 is seemingly easy to navigate and use, both from the front and back end. Thanks Ian for a great Wordpress Theme, and I am really looking forward to playing around with the Parent-Child theme setup. Look for more tweaks and updates as time goes!

Just fired up the new wordpress blog today for the first time in over a year. I never seem to have time to blog, but find that it’s a great timeline resource for whats going on with Roberts Web Design and I should put it to good use!
One of the first things I have planned is to get the template tweaked a bit here, then when the new design is finished up, I can flip it over and go live with a new sub-domain from the main site. I will try to keep posts up-to-date between now and then though, as there is alot going on with our new CMS Web Packages, and the new Client Support Network at Roberts Web Design . It should really be exciting over the next few weeks as we get things rolling! I’m probably jumping the gun about the new Support Network, but I’m really looking forward to getting the web design forums going for some of my clients, along with the video tutorials for the new Content Management System Packages we have rolled out!
If you happen to be looking for a great new website design for your business, Roberts Web Design has just launched our new Basic CMS Web Package and Total CMS Web Package this week! Affordable, easy to update, no coding skills required, and built on the award winning Joomla CMS platform! This should be fun!
Seeya soon!
